Workshops, Demostrations & Artist Talks

As well as the opportunity to meet the makers, practical demonstrations and activities offered at various studios are a highlight of the Mud Trail weekend. This is your opportunity to tailor your trail and explore what interests you at the source. View the calendar below for details and to plan your visit to co-incide with the immersive experiences that interest you so you can be inspired by these creative artists.

Clay animal making session. *The cost is $35 per person and that includes bisque and glaze firing and postal delivery.

Interactive Workshop

* Please be early to enrol as places are VERY limited: https://keramika.com.au
This interactive workshop is a great opportunity to get a ‘taste’ of creating with clay with a choice to make a rustic mug, vase or a planter pot. You will learn about different types of clay and the fundamentals of clay building using techniques like: coiling and slab rolling, with each one of these methods having its own magic. Tali will glaze your work and you will be able to pick it up after 4 weeks:)

All Day Events - Saturday & Sunday

Murwillumbah Potters at Fernvale will run wheel throwing demonstrations  and kids clay play workshops Sat and Sun from 10 till 3.
Tea, Scones and Music
Garden and studio walk with artist talk: On every hour from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm
Casual wheel throwing demonstrations when requested for interested visitors.
All weekend, materials and instructions, pottery tool making. *Small fee.
